Android 5.1 is real, we know it's already all over the Android One phones, yet Google has decided not to reveal exactly what the update brings and when it'll be coming to other handsets.
HTC's Vice President of Product Management Mo Versi has now revealed when the firmware rollout will be coming for everyone else.
Versi responded to a question about a bug update for the HTC One M7 with "It'll be tied to Google's next MR, which is in March. Thanks."
That looks like it stands for maintenance release and it'll be ready to roll out on HTC products next month.
Lollipop gets tastier
He is either referring to the full blown Android 5.1 update or maybe even just a smaller incremental update such as Android 5.0.3, but fingers crossed for the former.
Once it is announced we'll likely have to wait for the update to rollout to other phones. Luckily, March isn't too far away now.
