GTA VGet your PC ready for GTA V

After what seemed like an eternity (and then some), Rockstar Games is finally ready to release Grand Theft Auto V to PC, which officially debuts at midnight on April 14, 2015, in the U.K. In the U.S., it should unlock today, April 13, at 7:00 PM ET / 4:00 PM PT, or just a few hours from the time of this writing. There's still time to put in your pre-order and pre-download the title, and also Nvidia has made available its Game Ready 350.12 driver for Grand Theft Auto V today.

According to Nvidia, the newest driver release will deliver optimal performance in GTA V, whether you're engaged in single-player, multiplayer, or co-op mode. The GPU maker also told Maximum PC via email that the driver isn't simply focused on performance in terms of framerates, but also in getting your system Game Ready for technologies like G-Sync, one-click GeForce Experience optimizations, Dynamic Super Resolution, Nvidia GameStream, AA modes, Nvidia Surround, SLI profiles, and Optimus profile.

Speaking of SLI profiles, in addition to adding one for GTA V, the new driver also adds SLI profiles for Assassin's Creed Rogue, Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, Project Cars, and Victor Van. 3D Vision profiles were added for GTA V, Hereos of the Storm, and Mortal Kombat X.

Rockstar Games last week revealed to gamers that if they own at least an AMD HD 7870 or Nvidia GTX 760 graphics card, they should be able to run GTA V on a 4K display at 30fps, while a high-end SLI or Crossfire setup would be required for 4K at 60fps. It won't be long before those claims are put to the test, especially since GTA V will come with a built-in benchmark, or so we've been told.

In any event, you can grab Nvidia's newest driver here.
